Quotes
Quotes are free and carry no obligation. A quote holds its price for 30 days unless we tell you otherwise. A quote does not reserve a performer or a date – performers stay available for other bookings until you confirm.
Confirming a booking
A booking is confirmed when we send you a written booking confirmation. The confirmation sets out the performer, date, venue, performance details, fee, and any deposit or payment terms that apply. If anything in the confirmation looks wrong, tell us straight away.
Payment
Payment amounts and due dates are set out in your booking confirmation and invoice. If a deposit applies, the booking is not secured until the deposit is received.
Changes and cancellations by you
Tell us as early as you can if your event changes or falls through. Depending on how close to the event you cancel, cancellation fees may apply as set out in your booking confirmation, because the performer has held the date for you and may have turned other work away.
If you need to move your event to a new date, we will do our best to keep the same performer, subject to their availability.
If a performer becomes unavailable
Live entertainment depends on people, and occasionally illness or circumstances beyond anyone’s control make a performer unavailable. If that happens, we will tell you as soon as we know and offer a replacement performer of a similar standard for your approval. If we cannot offer a suitable replacement, or you prefer not to proceed, we will refund any amounts you have paid for the affected performance. That refund is the full extent of our liability for the change.
Your responsibilities at the event
You agree to provide the things reasonably needed for the performance to go ahead as planned, including any staging, microphone and PA requirements we agree with you beforehand, and a safe working environment for the performer. If the performance cannot proceed because these were not provided, the full fee remains payable.
Performance content
Comedy is a live art form and performers control their own material. When you book, tell us about your audience and any content guidelines for your event, and we will match you with a performer suited to the brief and pass your guidelines on. We cannot guarantee that every joke will land with every audience member, and we are not responsible for individual reactions to material.
Recording and broadcast
Performances may not be recorded, streamed, or broadcast without the written consent of both Funny Guys and the performer, arranged before the event.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee or other right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Beyond those rights, and to the extent the law allows, our liability in connection with a booking is limited to the amount you paid us for that booking, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Privacy
The personal information you give us when enquiring or booking is handled in line with our privacy policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
