Aussies know him as the charismatic host of ABC's Spicks and Specks, the music quiz show that became essential viewing. Across the pond, he's a household name thanks to The Last Leg, his Channel 4 talk show that was supposed to be a one-off for the 2012 London Paralympics. Over a decade later, the Brits still can't get enough. (You can catch it on SBS TV too.)

Anh Do is one of Australia's most inspiring success stories, though his journey has been far from easy.
Anh Do is one of Australia's most inspiring success stories, though his journey has been far from easy. In 1980, at just three years old, he arrived in Australia on a crowded fishing boat with refugees fleeing war-torn Vietnam. After surviving pirate attacks, dehydration and harsh conditions at sea, the passengers spent time in a Malaysian refugee camp before Anh's family eventually settled in Sydney.
Determined to make the most of his opportunities, Anh showed an entrepreneurial spirit from a young age. During school he ran a fish-breeding business, and later opened a retail store that expanded to four locations. Although he was close to finishing a double degree in Business and Law and had job offers from major law firms, Anh chose a different path - stand-up comedy.

If variety is indeed the spice of life, then Des Dowling's career is a vindaloo of life threatening intensity.
If variety is indeed the spice of life, then Des Dowling's career is a vindaloo of life threatening intensity. He spent the early years of his career as a news and current affairs reporter for the ABC, Channel 7 and Channel 9. Des decided making people laugh, rather than making them cry, was a far more noble way to earn a living. In the twelve years since, he's carved out a career as a top line comedian and corporate entertainer travelling the length and breadth of Australia. He's headlined at Australia's premier comedy clubs and performed his own sold out comedy/sketch show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Combining his comedic and television skills he worked for two years writing and directing sketches for the hugely successful "AFL Footy Show" and wrote and directed three half hour documentaries for Arena Television's "Day In The Life" series. He also wrote and directed Ch 10's, Logie nominated, comedy mockumentary series "Mark Loves Sharon". When he's not behind the camera, Des is in front of it, working as a presenter on Ch 7's Kinne and Look at Property as well as and Ch 9's Manspace. Des is meticulous, intelligent and very funny, and an asset to any event as both a host and a stand up comedian.

An Australian stand-up known for a physical, character-driven style born on the street.
Joel Ozborn is an Australian stand-up comedian known for a physical, character-driven style that grew out of his early years as a street performer. He first found his comic voice winning a high-school public-speaking contest with a talk on the anxiety of wombats, then developed an offbeat brand of street comedy that earned him the 1998 "Street Performer Of The Year" award, presented by the Sydney Opera House on 2Day FM. Later that year he moved to the United States to work alongside comedian and magician The Amazing Johnathan, an apprenticeship that shaped his prop-savvy, high-energy approach to the stage.
Returning to Australia, Ozborn became a fixture of the national festival circuit, with regular seasons at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Adelaide Fringe, the Sydney Comedy Festival and the Brisbane Comedy Festival, including sold-out runs and national theatre tours. As a stand-up, he has performed multiple sell-out shows at some of the world's most iconic venues and festivals, including the Edinburgh Fringe, Adelaide Fringe, and Melbourne International Comedy Festival. From boardrooms to ballrooms, from sales kickoffs to club fundraisers, we've booked it all.
Conferences, awards nights, gala dinners, EOFY.
Sporting clubs, fundraisers, social clubs.
Professional MCs who run the show.
No dramas. Give us a ring and we'll talk you through your options. We've been doing this for over 25 years.
Funnyguys.com.au came about in the late 1990s. A group of top line comedians decided to pool their experience and knowledge of corporate and social events to set up a one stop shop for booking a comedy act.
From top end of town gala dinners to footy club awards nights. Whether you want an MC for a three day conference in Cairns or someone to give Dad a gentle roasting at his 60th. We can find the perfect comedy performer.
From day one we’ve set the bar high. Respond promptly to enquiries, whether they’re on the phone or email. Ask the right questions. Who, what, when, where, why. And of course the big one: what’s your budget?
It’s a fairly simple equation. The more high profile a comedian is, the greater their fee is likely to be. But there are also many great comedians you might not recognise immediately who have built brilliant careers and would suit your event, and your budget. Feel free to read their bios, watch their videos, and then reach out.
Funnyguys has clocked up more than 25 years and 3,000 gigs. We’ve performed all over Australia and internationally. You name a gig, we’ve done it. On a plane (yep), underground (yep), even underwater. Corporate giants and small family businesses, they all recognise the power of laughter on their employees and clients. So do we.
That's why you can trust us. You'll have the best experience possible with Funnyguys.
We'll be back to you within 24 hours.
