Funny Guys is a collective of Australia’s best corporate comedians and MCs. When you call, you are talking to someone who has actually shared a green room with the talent. We have been matching the right act to corporate and social events for more than two and a half decades.

A group of top line comedians decided to pool their experience and knowledge of corporate and social events to set up a one stop shop for booking a comedy act. The idea was simple. Make it easy for clients to book the right comedian, and make sure that recommendation came from people who actually knew the talent.

From the top end of town gala dinners to the footy club awards night. Whether you wanted an MC for a three day conference in Cairns, or someone to give Dad a gentle roasting at his 60th, we figured out how to find the perfect comedy performer.

Twenty five years and more than 3,000 gigs later, the business still runs on the same principle. We answer the phone ourselves, we know every comedian on our books personally, and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit for what you have planned. Our story

It all started in the late 1990s.

A group of top line comedians decided to pool their experience and knowledge of corporate and social events to set up a one stop shop for booking a comedy act. The idea was simple. Make it easy for clients to book the right comedian, and make sure that recommendation came from people who actually knew the talent.

Three principles, set on day one.

None of this is rocket science. We just made the decision early on that we would do these three things, and we have stuck to them ever since.

Respond promptly

Whether it is a phone call or an email, we get back to you. No call trees, no waiting list, no week long silence. You will hear from us within 24 hours, usually much sooner.

Ask the right questions

Who is the audience. What kind of event. When and where. Why are you booking comedy in the first place. And of course the big one. What is your budget.

Find the right fit

Then we recommend. Not the most expensive comedian on our books. The right one for your crowd, your event, and your budget. Honest matchmaking is the whole job.

A word on pricing

Let us be honest with you about cost.

It is a fairly simple equation. The more high profile a comedian is, the greater their fee is likely to be. There are no industry secrets here. The big names cost the big money.

What is less well known is that there are many, many great comedians you might not recognise immediately who have built brilliant careers, killed at thousands of events, and would suit your event and your budget perfectly.

We make a point of championing them just as much as the household names. Sometimes the right comedian for your event is not the one you have heard of.
